The long version is this....
We were on the "white" rotation which meant that on Friday we fished Barbee, Saturday was on Webster, and Sunday was on Tippy.
Friday - on Barbee - started out somewhat promising as we had 2 early follows. It definitely gave us hope but that was it. At the end of the day, we didn't see anything else or catch anything. There were only 3 fish caught on that lake all day Friday.
Saturday - we were on Webster and definitely saw more action. We had 8 follows and boated a nice 37.25" fish.
That fish was one of only 3 caught on Webster for Saturday. On Friday, 9 were caught there.
Sunday was dismal on Tippy. Like Friday, we had 2 fish follow but not one taker. Guess how many were caught on Sunday at TIppy? If you guessed 3, then you would be the winner. Our rotation seemed to be stuck on the 3 fish rule. The previous days had 11 caught on Saturday and 9 on Friday.
In the end, we finished 25th out of 75 teams. Of those 75 teams, 46 fish were caught. Congrats to Dan and Adam Gruenwald for the win and a huge congrats goes out to Mike Sweeny on his massive 51" musky caught on Friday at Barbee. It may have been 1 of only 3 fish caught at Barbee on Friday but it was a mega musky. To make it even better, he caught it on a lure he made himself.
Pictures of the fish, the lure, and more details on the tournament are on the Indiana Musky Classic's Facebook Page.
